My grandson has a little dump truck.

We loaded it with sea shells, sticks, and small stones

and made a pile across the yard under the apple tree.

I found an old brick while walking the shore of a morning. 

What is it about a circle that makes us look through?

As if we could see another world on the other side...

or at least another perspective.

Saturday morning found us walking the beach early-ish

While a few family's got a head start on the steamy day

laying blankets and adding ice to the coolers

Joe and I walked with our toes in the water and shared easy conversation.

Spring has finally arrived

It's still rather chilly in the mornings but the 

trees are pink and chartreuse.

We are able to walk the island without a jacket

and all seems hopeful once again.
