Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that I live where I am free.

I am not saying that we are not without problems.

And, I do believe we are all a part of one another and one is only as free as all are.

Yet, as I sit with my loved ones and watch the fireworks exploding over the Atlantic ocean

from my view on this very tiny sort-of-an-island...

 I remember what others have sacrificed so that I may do so

I cannot help but feel grateful.
