Family Friday

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

t

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go for to you I entrust my life.

Psalm 143:8

My daughter got married on 25 August!

It was an absolutely beautiful wedding.

~

I caught a wicked viral flu and was very sick on the day of the wedding.

I just barely made it to the ceremony

but had to leave for home before the party started.

The next day I was in the E.R. getting pumped with fluids and other meds.

Not going to dwell on how unhappy I was to have missed the wedding celebration.

~

I received an award at work!

I was pretty happy and proud of myself as I don't normally get those kinds of things.

~

My husband had to have a second thyroid surgery on 31 August.

He had half of it removed in June and they found cancer

so they had to take the other half out.

The doctor said everything looks good but I won't be happy

till we get the pathology report back.

~

I have a new co-teacher at work and I really like her.

I think we are going to do great together!

  2. I am sorry that you were so ill at the time of your daughter's wedding. She was a beautiful bride and even though you missed out on the party, I am glad that you were able to be there for the ceremony.

Sorry that cancer showed up in your husband's thyroid. I completely understand how you won't be satisified until the pathology report comes back.

It was great to "meet" you. Now I am your newest follower. :)

  4. Congratulations to your daughter and her husband! She's a beautiful bride. I am SO sorry you were sick and had to miss the celebration after the wedding - and ended up in the hospital! I trust you are better now.

Congratulations on your award at work! Glad you have a good co-teacher.

I am sorry about your husband's thyroid cancer. I had a scare several years ago with a tumor in mine and had half of it removed. Thankfully it was benign. But I remember being told then that they had good results treating thyroid cancer, so I trust that will be the case for your husband.

  5. You have had quite a stressful time dealing with the flu and an award, a daughter's wedding and hubby's surgeries. I hope this week life is calmer.
Your daughter is beautiful and looks happy. What a hard thing to have to miss the celebration. ;(
Praying you here good news about your husband's thyroid surgery and soon.
Hurray on being recognized at work. And double hurray on the new teacher. Work life is so much better when there is a connection.
LOVE the verse you started this post with. May you live in God's unfailing love this week.
