Apples heaped on market barrows
juicy plums and stripy marrows
My nana's salad bowl sits on the kitchen table filled with apples waiting to be baked into a crisp,
there are cheery yellow chrysanthemums at the bottom of the porch steps,
squirrels have been busy storing up food and leaving beautiful messes on the landings.
afternoons are spent sipping tea and knitting,
and here and there are little signs that autumn is coming.

Love all of these blessings! Yes in the ADK yesterday I saw some early signs of Autumn in the high peaks! Tomorrow I'm headed to the southern region of the adk where there won't be much color yet.
ReplyDeletehave a fabulous weekend.
You are a bit ahead of us on autumn arriving. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteTea and knitting! Two of the best blessings together.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend!
We're staring to see just a little bit of leaf change. But it's still pretty hot. Apple crisp sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures, especially the apple and the leaf!
ReplyDeleteApple crisp is my all time favorite dessert!! Fall is definitely in the air! Though our days have gone back to being in the '70's (20's C) it hits differently and doesnt feel as hot. The leaves seem to have changed color overnight, The yellow mums are gorgeous!
